(updated 06 May 2013) WELCOME! from the Kiwanis Club of Folsom Lake Ordinary People performing Extraordinary Work The Kiwanis Club of Folsom Lake is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life. Our objective is to bring aid to children and communities in need. Through guidance and example, we work to develop future generations of leaders. Every day, Kiwanians are revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports programs, tutoring, building playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help children and their communities. The majority of our efforts benefit children in our Folsom community. A portion of the funds we raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. The Eliminate Project The project we Kiwanians all around the world are coming together and working on, in partnership with UNICEF, is The Eliminate Project with the single goal of eliminating tetanus around the world. Take a few moments to watch this informative and touching video and then let us know ... would you like to join us? Service in the Community We serve by sponsoring activities that provide support for both children's and community programs through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills. Can-The-Van One of our many service projects is our signature event, Can-the-Van. We hold this fundraiser, which solely benefits the Twin Lakes Food Bank, twice a year; once in the Spring and again in the Fall. This event is a favorite of ours because it not only benefits the families in Folsom but we work with with our two Key Clubs (as seen above); Vista del Lago and Folsom High! 'Fun'draisers With an emphasis always on the word 'fun', our club hosts several fundraisers throughout the year that benefit myriad causes throughout the community.
